What the record suggests

Interpretation written by AI from the figures in the tables on this page. Every figure below is taken from the official record. It makes no prediction and states no position.

The latest recorded action on May 22, 2026 reads Ordered to be Reported (Amended) by the Yeas and Nays: 62 - 2, which is an order to report the bill with amendments and is a different recorded action from passage by the House. A referral to the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee records which committee received H.R. 8870 after its introduction in the House, and referral to committee is a different recorded action from being held at the desk.

A filing can match the phrase without naming any bill, and the record shows 316 of 347 filings naming at least one bill, with 303 of the 316 filings that name a bill naming H.R. 8870. Senate LDA reports are filed by quarter, so 339 filings in 2026 Q2 and 8 filings in 2026 Q3 place each disclosure in its reporting period rather than dating when the lobbying started.

Filings in the phrase search that name H.R. 9170 (named in 59 filings) record a different bill designation, and appearing in the same search does not show that H.R. 9170 (named in 59 filings) shares a sponsor, a committee or text with H.R. 8870. The graph shows a sponsor edge from Sam Graves and cosponsor edges from Rick Larsen, Eleanor Holmes Norton, David Rouzer, while the bill record counts 5 cosponsors split as 3 Republican, 2 Democratic, so the edges shown name part of that count.
