Chase

Chase is the things you owe and the deadlines riding the official record, in one deadline-sorted list. It is a lens on your relationships and your legislative tracking, not a separate task manager. Commitments come from the calls and meetings you log in People, and their deadlines move when the underlying bill moves. When a markup slips, the item's clock slips with it.

Everything in Chase is private to you.

When to use Chase

Use Chase to keep track of the loops that are easy to lose:

• A one-pager you promised to send before a markup
• A sign-on letter to circulate by a deadline
• A follow-up call you owe a member's office
• Anything with a due date that rides a moving bill

For a full task manager or project plan, Chase is deliberately narrower: it is the follow-ups tied to the people and bills you already track.

Adding follow-ups

Tell Apogee what you owe and it creates the commitment with a due date or a horizon:

"Remind me to circulate the sign-on letter by Friday"

"I owe Rep. Gottheimer's office the language before markup"

Commitments also form automatically from the interactions you log in People, so the loop from "I told them I would" to "here it is on my list" needs no extra step.

Resolving follow-ups

When something is done, say so and Apogee checks it off:

"Sent the one-pager to Gottheimer"

"Done with the sign-on letter"

Asking what is due

Ask Apogee what to chase and it lists open commitments soonest first:

"What should I chase today?"

"What is due before markup?"

Because each commitment ties back to the person and bill it came from, the list re-sorts as the legislation moves. A deadline that depended on a hearing date shifts when the hearing is rescheduled.

• The list stays current on its own, so nothing slips because a date changed while you were not looking

Privacy

Chase is private to your account. Your commitments and follow-ups never surface in shareable or published output, and never mix with another user's data.
